2 WAYS TO WEAR: THE OVERSIZED T-SHIRT DRESS (+20 Badass T-Shirt Dresses You Need To Style ASAP!)
Guys, happy Monday! Today, I wanted to bring you another “Wear it 2 ways” post - On this super cool sequinned oversized t-shirt dress that I wore NON-STOP in Montreal this Summer. I bought it super cheap (I think it was $9 on sale) at H&M the week before leaving… And I knew right away it would be the perfect casual piece for my trip.
While there really are a thousand (almost no exaggeration) ways you can style a t-shirt dress, I wanted to keep it simple today, by changing only the accessories. So essentially, these looks are pretty similar, although they do have a different vibe. That being said, I am working on so many more outfits with this dress, because I really think it’s super versatile and I want to highlight that. So stay tuned if you want to see this dress mixed in with other pieces of clothing, and transitioned into Fall.
For now though, let’s focus on the accessories:
So, for look #1, I wanted to make it a little more feminine by accentuating the waist with a belt, and pairing it with heels. I still chose heels that are SUPER comfy and casual and added a super cute brown bucket bag to give it more of a feminine, polished vibe.
You can get my exact belt HERE, and the new textured version of my boots RIGHT HERE. I can’t find my bag anymore, which makes sense because I got it on major sale a few weeks ago, so I’m assuming it’s sold out. But you can get the pearl chain I out on it on my friend’s shop, Très Vu, RIGHT HERE. And if you end up getting it (or anything else on her website), you can use my code JENNY20 for 20% off your entire order. I don’t make anything from this code, I’m only sharing it to make you guys save a few dollars.
For look #2, I wanted to give it an even more casual, street style vibe. So I removed the belt to get a looser, boyish fit, and paired it with my fave black Fila Disruptor 2 sneakers and a pink crossbody bag from Zara from a few seasons ago. Note that I wore the bag crossbody, just so it would give the dress a tiny bit of shape, instead of making it look like I’m wearing a circus tent.
My sneakers were an exclusive collab with Urban Outfitters and they’re no longer available, but I did find you a dupe that’s super similar and now on sale for $50, RIGHT HERE. Just keep in mind that these are technically for men, so you should order your regular size minus 1.5. For example, if you’re a 7.5 in women’s shoes, you should order a men’s 6.
And in case you were really into the t-shirt dress, I linked it right below (it’s the first one, obviously - And it’s now $7!!) along with 19 other options that I’M currently OBSESSED with! I actually really feel like I’m gonna have to go out of my way to get the one with the oranges on it, so iconic!!
Which t-shirt dress is your fave? And which way to style it did you prefer? Would you wear yours with heeled boots and a belt, or loose with sneakers? Let me know in the comment section below, and don’t forget to stay tuned for the different ways to style it, coming up on The Hungarian Brunette soon.
