A COUNTRY FESTIVAL OUTFIT (WITH CLOTHES YOU ALREADY HAVE IN YOUR CLOSET)

The Hungarian Brunette OOTD boho western festival outfit with clothes you already have

Happy Friday guys! Today is the last day of Festival Week on The Hungarian Brunette, so I wanted to end it on a casual, easy note… With this super easy laid-back festival outfit, that you can probably recreate with clothes you already have at home. Since the two other festival outfits I styled this week were kind of out there (outfit 1 - outfit 2) I thought it would be cool to give you another option, just in case some of you are looking for something more wearable. I know a lot of people (myself included) love to go all out with show-stopping outfits, but if you’re going to a more casual festival, or if you don’t want an outfit that’s too crazy, I got you covered on this one!

I feel like I would wear this outfit to go to a rock or country music festival, so if this is more your vibe than Coachella or EDC, then this one’s for you.

Fist, let’s start with a good poncho. I feel like a poncho is an easy to throw on item that gives a lot of character to an otherwise super simple jean shorts/grunge tee combination. I went for one that was lying in my closet for years, so here are a few similar options for you guys, in case you don’t already have a fringed/western/boho poncho lying around in your closet:

Moving on to the shorts, I obviously went for my most distressed pair, one that I thought I would throw away because they’re starting to look a little too “destroyed” for the real world… But that I kept around, telling myself I could wear them as a novelty item for some kind of costumey outfit (attention fashion hoarder alert!!!). Well I’m glad I did, because they’re actually the perfect festival shorts.

Once again, I linked some pretty cool options for you, just in case you’re not a hoarder like I am and you don’t already own a pair of completely destroyed denim shorts:

For the top. I went with (once again) a super old tank top with a tiger face that I had in my closet since… I don’t even remember. I feel like anything that looks a little grungy and western would work. Something with fringes, a band tee, or anything with some animal’s face on it (eagle, tiger, lion, etc.) would also look very on brand. Here are a few options that I would have worn if I didn’t have this one already:

And lastly, because accessories can really make a look, I added a double buckle western belt, which I personally really love. For this shoot, I wore sandals because we were shooting in Palm Springs and that’s what I felt like wearing that day (lol) but if I were to wear this outfit to an actual festival, I would FOR SURE wear it with some coy-boy inspired boots. Here are 5 options for both belts and boots for you guys:

What do you guys think about this outfit? Is it something you would wear to a country music festival? Please let me know what kind of festival outfits you guys are into in the comment section below, so I know what to put together for Festival Week next year, which is gonna be bigger, better and stronger!

In the meantime, I wish you an amazing festival season this year, and so much fun!!

I’ll be back on here next Monday with my regular content, so stay tuned.

Love you guys,

Jenny xx
