I don't do a lot of home posts because in the past 2 years, I've moved like, 4 times... So needless to say that although I LOVE home decor, the situation hasn't been exactly ideal in the last few years for me to create the ideal home I'm proud of sharing everywhere.

But one thing I'm definitely happy with right now is my jewelry situation. Or more specifically, how I display it. When I lived in Montreal, I used to have SO MUCH jewelry. It was mostly cheap, tarnished jewelry from H&M and Forever 21. And it took so much space. I literally had the entire top of an Ikea bookcase covered in piles of jewelry. (On that note, see how I downsized and got rid of most of it in this post about getting rid of clutter).

Now that I've narrowed it down to only quality pieces that I love and wear constantly, I wanted a beautiful way to display the jewelry I'm proud to have. Up until about a week ago, I kept my jewelry in a black leather jewelry box, on the bathroom counter. Not only is all that humidity not very good for jewelry... But I'm also the QUEEN of clutter. As you can guess, I rarely (read almost never) took the time to put my jewelry back in its box. Instead, I'd drop it on the counter, on my makeup display... Basically anywhere but in the right place.

I knew I needed a solution that would be easier for my lifestyle - and laziness, if we're honest. I also wanted to take my jewelry out of the bathroom. Since we don't have a lot of flat surfaces in our studio, I knew it would end up on my desk. Which means I wanted something pretty to look at, since it was gonna be in my face all day. I figured the perfect solution for me was jewelry displays. The great thing about jewelry displays, is that you can clearly see all your pieces, without having to go through them. It's also suuuuper easy and convenient, because you can literally just throw your jewelry on them and call it a day.

So I got myself 2 jewelry displays: This little pyramid and this tall necklace & bracelet holder.

Finding the first one was such a fluke, but I'm SO happy I did! I was shopping in Santa Monica... And here it was staring at me from a window display. I knew right away I had to have it!! And the best part? It's $10! And it looks so much more expensive. I'm honestly quite impressed with the quality. I store my rings on the top level and my stud earrings on the bottom. And talk about that bottom!! It kind of looks like rose quartz, which is my all-time favourite.

The second display is one I've been eyeing for months. And when I checked recently (after getting the first display), it was on sale on Amazon. So I did what every normal person would do and I snagged it right away. I love how easy it is to use, like everything is right there. I also really like the base, which holds my bangles and big statement earrings. Granted, I only have one pair, but what can I say... I'm a dainty jewelry kind of gal.

I was afraid it would be a totally different shade of gold from the picture, but IRL, they look almost identical. There's definitely not a clash between the two jewelry displays, which I was afraid of. As I planned, they're both sitting on my desk, next to my computer, and I couldn't be happier with the whole situation. It's the easiest thing in the world to just take my jewelry off at night and dump it in one of the 2 displays.

Needless to say, these 2 jewelry displays only hold my everyday pieces. I still have way too many pieces to be able to store them this way... So the statement pieces or those I rarely wear are still sitting in my jewelry box, in the closet. I really don't mind that, because I feel like I only wear 20% of my jewelry 80% of the time. So this solution makes it a lot easier and less overwhelming to deal with on a daily basis.
