The Hungarian Brunette - Laneige lip glowy lip balm Review Berry

One thing everyone in my life agrees on is that I’m a freak about my lip balm. I’ve talked about this before, but at the risk of repeating myself, if we’re in the car on the way somewhere and I’m frantically looking through my bag before looking at Sasha and telling him that we need to stop at a gas station in a panicked voice, he knows right away it’s because I forgot my lip balm. That doesn’t happen a lot, because lip balm is usually one of the first 3 things I look for when I’m leaving the house - along with my phone and keys. I kid you not, I’ve realized countless times that I had forgotten my ID once at a bar, but I’m never there without my lip balm, or at least a good gloss.

I just really love when my lips are juicy, hydrated and smooth. My worst pet peeve is when I can feel my lips getting all parched and wrinkly. I swear I find it more uncomfortable than wearing the tightest bra on Earth.

So when Laneige came out with their new Lip Glowy Balms recently, I knew they were going to be amazing. I’m a huge fan of their lip mask already, so my expectations were super high (not gonna lie) and I was not disappointed.

I used to wear their lip mask during the day as a lip balm too, and I really didn’t mind the texture, because even though it is super thick, it’s not sticky. And I also loved how it made my lips look suuuper juicy and lasted quite a while, especially compared to regular lip balms.

The only thing that was bothering me (especially when I was on the go) is how I’d have to dip my fingers in the jar to reapply. When I apply the mask before bed, it’s usually during my skincare routine, when my hands are super clean… But when I’ve been out all day, this is sometimes questionable, enough so that I don’t want to be touching my mouth.

Not only does this balm solve that hygiene issue (phew!) but I also love how the texture is a little lighter. Just like the mask, it lasts a really long time on the lips, and makes them look so juicy and delicious.

I’m also a huge fan of the fact that it comes in 4 flavours (for now): Berry, Peach, Pear and Grapefruit. Not gonna lie, I kinda want them all. At $15 a pop, it’s definitely pricier than most lip balms, but if you consider that this actually feels like a balm but totally looks like a gloss, it’s totally worth the spend.

I feel like this is the perfect product for Summer, aka healthy glow season, and I will for sure be carrying mine with me all the time.

Did you guys try this yet? Did you love it? Let me know in the comments below, and please tell me if there’s anything else you would like to see on here!

Love you guys,

Jenny xx
