I know, I know pearls have kind of a bad rep with most people under 75. Meaning not that they’re ugly, or even unfashionable, but that they look kind of… Old.

As a matter of fact, I used to take a page out of Samantha Jones’ book and say that the only type of pearl necklace I would wear was… Well, you know. Wink wink. Not the type you’d like to picture your grandmother wearing. If you don’t get it, you need to Google “pearl necklace meaning” RIGHT NOW. You’re most welcome.

Also, side note (you already know that if you’re a regular) I really enjoy inappropriate jokes, especially the more salacious ones, and I do have kind of a dark, weird sense of humour.

Hopefully no one is really offended *insert fingers crossed emoji.

SO, now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk about actual pearls, shall we? More specifically, the ones all over my sleeves.

I saw this crop top at H&M a few weeks ago and it honestly kind of jumped at my face, even though I’m not a big fan of pearls. For some reason, on a black crop top, they suddenly went from retirement home vibes to rocker chic babe.

So, obviously, I had to have it. And I also knew right away that I was gonna pair it with something leather and possibly include it in an all-black outfit. Which, as you can see, I did.

Since I’ve been in LA, I’ve been wearing a lot less black, but in this case, I thought I’d make an exception, because that’s what really makes the pearls pop.

And because I took my sweet old f*cking time before posting this, the pearl crop top has sold out by now. I know, I know this is shameful AF, what kind of blogger am I, right?

The kind of blogger who spent the last 2 weeks of her life migrating her entire blog in a state of extreme emergency, actually. Meaning I haven’t been posting a single thing in 2 weeks, hence why this post came so late.

But luckily, pearl embellished tops are (apparently?) quite popular this season, because I found a few other options for you guys to choose from, should you ever want to don the look.

I also included some leather minis in there, because I actually really enjoyed wearing these 2 pieces together.

So let me know what you guys think. Love the pearls, hate them? Makes you think of your grandma or not? I’m dying to know. Seriously. You can always leave me a comment below, or come hit me up on Instagram to talk about pearls, your dog, face masks, what you had for lunch… Anything.

Love you guys, Jenny xx
