OOTD: SWEATSHIRT DRESS & OTK BOOTS
If you’ve seen yesterday’s outfit post, then you’re probably already aware that I’m on a sportswear kick lately. I feel like this might be coming from growing up in the super cold Canadian winters, but come Spring, it just feels really great to me to be able to ditch the winter jacket, go out in just a sweater and not be cold. In this case, I literally went out in just a sweater, no pants needed.
I’ve been wanting a sweater dress for such a long time, to wear with my over the knee boots, and when I saw this one (first one linked below), I knew it was the one. I love that it’s a sweatshirt dress with a sporty vibe (it even says “member of the sports club” in French), so there’s a contrast happening with the boots, that are otherwise a polished shoe. Also, it’s pink, so it’s still feminine and girly, even though it’s a sporty piece.
* Not saying you have to dress in pink to be feminine, that pink is only for women, or that women can’t play sports. I feel like this is OBVIOUS, but since it’s 2019 and everyone gets offended about everything, I thought it couldn’t hurt to mention it.
I also love that this one is not too roomy (wearing a size 0), because some sweatshirt dresses are so baggy, they look super bulky and unflattering. This one is roomy, make no mistake, but I feel like doesn’t make you look like a giant ball of cotton candy with 2 skinny legs, it still shows some form, especially when moving around. The inside is also suuuuper soft, so it’s really a very comfortable piece.
You guys know I like giving you some options (and I’m also a shopaholic), so I found 10 amazing sweatshirt dresses (including this exact one) that I linked right below for you, should you want to rock a sweatshirt dress. My OTK boots are from Aldo, but are now sold out, but I love these ones that look super similar - and they’re on sale!
Which sweatshirt dress is your favourite? And would you guys wear this outfit? Let me know in the comment section below!
Love you guys! Happy Friday!!
