PINK & GOLD GLITTERY NAILS (DIY Mani With Essie & Urban Outfitters Nail Polish)
If you guys are long-time readers, then you probably know I have a thing for pink and glitter, as well as for nail polishes by Essie and Urban Outfitters. In fact, these 2 brands are first on the very short list of brands I use for my nails. I feel like their price points are both super reasonable in direct relation to the quality, and I love how both brands’ products apply, look and last.
I’ve posted a few swatches and nail arts using some gorgeous glittery Urban Outfitters nail polishes (like THIS ONE and THAT ONE) and I’m back at it again with a new shade, Glow Up. I’m not sure if this is supposed to be considered a regular nail polish or a topper, but I applied 2 coats of it on top of Essie’s PR Stunt, which is the most gorgeous shade of light dusty pink, and you can still see the pink quite a lot, so I’m gonna go ahead and assume that it’s meant to be a topper. Especially since usually, Urban Outfitter’s nail polishes are completely opaque in 2 coats.
Glow Up is basically a transparent polish with 2 sizes of gold glitter and some duo-chrome micro-glitter that goes from blue to a purplish pink. I think it looks stunning on top of light pink, but I feel like it would look equally good on a dark blue polish like the one I linked below.
Just like every time I do my nails, I applied an Essie base and the Gel Couture top coat, which is my ride-or-die top coat, and I don’t see myself replacing it anytime soon.
I really love how this manicure turned out, especially since I was just playing around to test out Glow Up, that I just got about a week ago. For some reason, this colour combination reminds me of a French Renaissance castle, and from memory, I’m pretty sure there’s a room in Versailles that’s decorated in pink, blue and gold, so I’m not mad about that.
Do you guys like this manicure? Are you into glittery toppers or you prefer opaque nail polish? Let me know in the comment section below, and let me know which nail polish brand is your ride-or-die!
Love you guys,
