HERE'S A RAINBOW OF NEON CROP TOPS THAT WILL MAKE THE REST OF THE SUMMER LIT AF
You guys, if you read my post from Wednesday (about the Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions palettes), you already know I’ve been obsessed with neons lately. It’s one of my favourite trends this season, and I feel like it’s such a happy, bright and sexy trend - I’m super into it!! If you’ve been with me for a while, you also know I’m crazy about a good crop top… So naturally, it made sense for me to combine both and bring you a post about neon crop tops, ha!
Recently, I decided to test out Shein, because I had heard so much about their clothes (and tbh, I kept seeing pretty fruitful hauls on YouTube) - So I wanted to see for myself if the hype was worth it… Especially because you guys know I’m tiny (I’m 5.8" but weight about 95lbs) so it’s super hard for me to find clothes that fit me without having to take them in… And it always makes me feel weird to buy an $80 clothing item and have to do work on it, so I figured the super low price point might be worth it for me if I have to work on the clothes anyways.
So I got THIS SET that I thought was super cute (and so affordable, WTF?!?) and I figured I might not wear both pieces together because it’s a liiiittle much for me. But I could definitely see myself wearing them separately. When I got my order in the mail, I was pretty surprised to see what this set looked like, because although it definitely looked like the picture online, there were still a few interesting details about it.
First, the top and the skirt are really not made the same way, which I found a bit odd. The top feels way more high quality, because it’s made out of layers of fabric, and the construction is pretty well made. The skirt on the other hand, only has one ply of fabric, which is super odd to me. I feel like if I wanted some extra coverage somewhere, it would be on my butt, any day of the week. Like, I’m OK with a top being a bit see-through, but a skirt? Hell no!
The elastic on the skirt is also too big for my waist, so there was a weird bulge between the elastic and the section where the skirt became skin-tight on my hips. So I’m really not sure I’ll end up wearing the skirt, but still - That top, for $12, still is a pretty sweet deal.
I also wanted to give you guys some more options, and there’s not much that seems more appealing to me at the moment than a rainbow of neon hues, so here you go:
Which top is your favourite? And which neon colour is your favourite to wear? Mine are definitely pink and the more coral orange - So pretty!!! As always, please feel free to tag me @thehungarianbrunette on Instagram if you post a picture of you wearing neon, so I can see it and repost it on my stories!
Love you guys!
