WHAT'S IN MY SEPHORA CART FOR THE BEAUTY INSIDER SALE
If you love shopping at Sephora as much as I do, you KNOW how foolish it is to miss a good sale. Sephora is one of these retailers that doesn't have a huge amount of sales, so the few times a year they do, it's time to stock up on your favourites! Until September 3rd (next Monday) it's the Beauty Insider appreciation event... Which means there's a sale going on! You save 10% on everything if you're a beauty insider, 15% if you're VIB, and 20% if you're a Rouge member!
Here's everything that's in my cart right now... AKA my current favourites I really don't wanna miss out on!
A few weeks ago, I tested and reviewed a sample of the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum. I loved it so much that I bought it, and I can't stop using it since then. Since I kind of like a total look, I really wanna try this eye cream. I feel like I've been having a major dark circle situation lately, and I need some major brightness under there! If the Banana Bright Eye Crème works as well as the Truth Serum, I'm gonna look LIT AF!
One thing I can't get out of the house without is a good highlight. I feel like no matter how tired and blah you feel, a little highlighter goes a long way. I love High Beam because it's a liquid highlighter, as opposed to a powder. Lately, I've been trying to limit the amount of powder I put on my face as much as possible... I just hate the cakey look, especially in the summer. High Beam is the perfect ally if you're going for a dewy, natural look, and I can't wait to wear it every day.
When it comes to moisturizer, I like to switch things up. I'm currently alternating between Glamglow Volcasmic and First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Daily Face Cream. I love both, but I'm really impressed with Ole Henriksen's Truth Serum. So as I mentioned above, I want to see the effect the whole collection will have on my skin. I also looove the texture of a gel moisturizer, since it feels so light on the skin and usually absorbs really quickly.
If there's one thing really worth buying during the Beauty Insider sale, it's a good fragrance! Since perfume is usually one of the most expensive beauty items, you'll save a lot more in dollar dollar value than if you buy a $20 item. Last time there was a sale at Sephora, I bought myself this Stella McCartney fragrance. This time, I chose Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, because it smells divinely good, and it's also a totally different vibe. Stella is more musky and dark, and this Dior is floral and girly.
I already have a Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss, in 006, which is a darker pink-beige shade. In fact, it's one of the only glosses I wear, and I did a full review of it right here. Since my tube is almost empty and I want to make sure I don't run out, I feel like the Beauty Insider sale is the perfect opportunity to restock. This gloss is one of these items I know I'll be buying again and again, so I might as well do it when I can save a few bucks, right? This time, I decided to order it in a lighter, more LA shade, pink.
6 & 7- Benefit Cosmetics Hoola & Hoola Light
After years of contouring with expensive palettes and using only half the shades, I finally discovered that you can contour with 2 bronzer shades. On top of not being a total waste of money, it's also super versatile. Don't feel like contouring? You can still use your bronzer to give yourself a little glow. I like using Benefit's Hoola in the crease under my cheekbones, and then blending with Hoola Light. The finish is super natural and lasts all day.
Ok, I'm pretty sure you get it by now, I love the Truth collection. This is the third and final item I wanted to get. I like switching my cleansers, and since I'm almost out of the one I currently use, I feel like this is a great opportunity to give this one a go and see how it performs in conjunction with the Banana Bright Eye Crème and the C-Rush brightening Gel Crème.
This is my little treat of the Beauty Insider sale... The item I don't necessarily need, but I've been eyeing for so long, that it feels like I deserve it! If you look at most of my pictures, you'll notice quickly that I have a thing for a dark, neutral smokey eye. I usually keep in in the neutral and warm tones, and this palette has every colour I love to use, plus the ones I've been dying to try.
That's it guys, phew! Who else is taking advantage of the Beauty Insider sale? If you are, please let me know what you got! And remember, it ends Monday, so you still have a few days left to treat yourself!
Love, Jenny xx
