OOTD: THE SNAKE-LIKE STRIPED SWEATER

Happy Monday guys! I'm still in SF right now, and I gotta say, it is COLD. Not as cold as what I used to deal with in Montreal, but damn, I'm freezing over here! I was gonna post another outfit we shot recently today... But it's so cold that instead, I opted for this cozy warm sweater. I feel like it's more on brand, ya know?

So this sweater. This striped sweater. Let's talk about it shall we? Because if my mom saw me wearing this, she would probably ask herself what in the actual fuck? Obviously she would use other words, but the spirit would stay the same. (My mom isn't such a fan of the word fuck. It almost makes you wonder if I was adopted, LOL). But I really digress here.

My mom would be surprised that I bought this sweater, because it's unlike everything I usually wear. First of all, I have to say I'm REALLY not a fan of stripes. Unless I'm dressing up as a sailor, count me OUT. I feel like there's nothing about a stripe that's flattering or even interesting to look at. Usually. Not this time though. When I saw this striped sweater at Forever 21, I literally jumped at it and scavenged for my size.

I was so attracted to it because it reminds me of those little tiny cute snakes... You know the striped, white red and black little snakes? Anyways. I don't particularly like snakes either, tbh... So I really don't know what it is about this particular striped sweater. All I know is that it works for me.

I feel like I do actually like stripes, just not the bicoloured ones. Like black and white, red and white... Uhhh, it's a no from me. BUT, when it's multicoloured stripes? I'm actually up for it! I saw a blogger friend post a sweater with super wide stripes, all in different pastel colours, and I LOVED it. So you see, don't knock it 'till you try it. Sometimes, it's just about finding the right stripe.

It's also the SOFTEST, coziest sweater of all. I swear, I could wear it to sleep. I obviously linked it below for you guys... Along with a few other stripe options that I'm loving right now. And not only is it perfect, it's even more perfectly priced.

Since it's really not a feminine piece, I decided to go all out with a masculine-inspired look. Hence why I wore it with khaki pants and... Dog tags, yes. I honestly didn't remember I had those, until I cleaned my jewelry box. I figured it was OK to have a little fun with what you're wearing - which is something I blabber about on Instagram all day errr'day.

Please also take a moment to notice how Bentley's harness matches my sweater almost perfectly. I usually don't really feature him on here a lot (which is crazy because he's so damn cute!). But we took these shots during his morning walk, so I thought, why the hell not!?

What do you guys think? Do you like this sweater? Do you see the resemblance with these little cute snakes, or am I just crazy? I feel like we all know the answer to this, but let's pretend for a hot second, please. You can let me know in the comments below, or come hit me up on Instagram!! I have some super cool stuff coming up, including a giveaway, so you don't wanna miss that!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend, and wishing you a great week!

Love, Jenny xx
