As a teenager, I used to say shopping was my cardio. It’s a miracle that my weight hasn’t tripled since online shopping became such a big thing, but maybe that’s because my heart rate still goes up a ton when I see shoes I like, in person or on screen – I don’t discriminate. Every month, I’ll be sharing a few of the things I’m (not so) secretly eyeing in this series called “MONTHLY WANTS”. Everyone feel free to pick any of these and send them to my address, I accept all material donations – HA!

1- Eyeshadow Palette: It's no secret by now that I'm a real sucker for a good eyeshadow palette. Since any eye makeup I wear is basically a more-or-less dramatic variation of a neutral smokey eye, this palette is like the Holy Grail for me. I love that it has some brown-ish AND some red-ish shades. And also that it's a good mix between matte and sparkly. Anastasia strikes again! If you're looking for a less expensive version, feel free to drool all over this one.

2- Gold Accent Plates: If you've been following along for a little while, you know I love my pink and blue plates. They're from Anthropologie, the kings of dishware (and a few other things). And even though I LOVE my current plates, a girl can always dream, right? I feel like the plates I serve my food in hugely influences how good I think it tastes... Call me crazy, you'll be right anyway! And I feel like these plates could make even the most bland meal taste uh-may-zang!!

3- Biotin supplements: I've talked a few times about my annoying hair destroying habit. Sadly, stress and anxiety are about as easy to stop as a barrel rolling down a steep hill... Which makes me kinda scared that in a few months, I'll look like Kojac. And no, for those wondering, I'm not of the Kojac generation (thank God!), I just have an incredible general culture, LOL.

But yeah, back to hair... On top of attempting to really control my stress levels and nervous habit, I started taking biotin supplements lately. They're the really delicious, gummy kind. The only problem is that they're also kinda high in sugar (which is why they're so good). Since I've been really trying to cut back a little on sugar, I feel like this is a good place to start. So as soon as I'm done with my current bottle, I'll be ordering these to replenish my hair game.

4- Nude Sandals: Taking outfit pictures many times a week will make you realize QUICKLY how much you need new shoes. The thing is, I have a LOT of black shoes, from when I lived in Montreal. But Summer being almost the only season in SoCal, I wear a LOT more of whites and light colours. Which kinda explains why I need nude sandals.

I think every girl needs a nude sandal, and it's a fucking miracle that such a shoe lover like me doesn't even own a pair. Embarrassing, I know. I love how these are soft suede and the knot detail makes them interesting, but not too attention grabbing either. Since nude sandals are a basic I'll be wearing a lot, I don't mind paying a little more. Also, if you've read this post, you'll know that I actually don't mind spending more on shoes. This is a designer I've never bought shoes from, and I'm very excited to discover them!

5- Destroyed Denim Jacket: The last time I wore a denim jacket, I think I was probably in high school. I'm crazy about leather jackets, and the more studded the better. But lately, with Summer being right around the corner, I've been having MAJOR denim jacket envy. And to me, a good destroy is to denim what studs are to leather: Fucking indispensable. What can I say, I love the lived-in rocker-chic look, especially when paired with my pink and girly clothes. I think I like looking like a good girl who stole her rock band boyfriend's jackets... When in fact I'm a scrappy chick dating an entrepreneur turned product manager... #WHATEVS.

6- Bye Bye Breakout Concealer: I just discovered the joys of concealer, only like, 2000 years after everybody else. I'm still experimenting, but I'm also working HARD on improving my skin quality, just so I don't need foundation anymore... I'm just so over it. I want to be able to just wear tinted moisturizer, or nothing at all, tyvm. But on days when it's not possible, it feels good to have a concealer that actually works on getting rid of a pimple for you. Gahhh, I hate the word pimple. Ew. You know what's even worse? Zit. Fucking GROSS. Which is also why I need this concealer, so I don't need to find new words for pimples.

7- Delicate Layered Necklace: OK, so I know I already included a layered, delicate and beautiful necklace in last month's wish list. But bear with me. This one is from Anthropologie, and I absolutely worship Anthro's jewelry. It's no overly expensive, but the quality is still on point. I've had earring from them for over a year, that I wear on the reg, and they still look amazing. And they were like, 30 bucks. This necklace just really seals the deal for me because in the Summer, the last thing I want to waste time with inside is deciding which necklaces to layer. With this one, I could just slap it on, and promptly go enjoy myself outside, where the sun is shining. Love it.

8- Simple White Crop Top: I feel like I need this top because ONE: I have a lot of high-wasted bottoms. And high-wasted bottoms just look so fucking good with a crop top. That's an unarguable fact of life. And TWO: I've been "working" on my abs for about 5 minutes a day, every other day, and I'm kinda seeing results. So I feel like I need to showcase those (ridiculous) results in the most obnoxious way possible. Enter this crop top. Is there any crop top in the universe that screams "look at my abs" in a more obnoxious way? I don't think so. I need it. NOW. And this whole paragraph is just SO relatable and likeable. #SARCASM.

9- Eyelet Dress: I actually just received this dress after ordering it in the BIGGEST hurry ever, but I thought I would still include it in this list because it NEEDS to be shared. First of all, it's like 30$, which is ridiculous. And it looks GOOD. And kind of expensive, to be honest.

I got my heart broken last year, when I fell in love with a Free People dress and didn't buy it because it was a little too big for me. STORY OF MY LIFE. I absolutely LOVED it, but I couldn't justify paying close to 200$ for something that didn't fit well. But guys, I studied fashion design, and I can make an entire ball gown from scratch. It would have been SO easy for me to fix it... So when I realized that, and decided I just couldn't leave the most beautiful dress ever at the store, I went back... And it was sold-out. So I looked online... And it was sold-out. So I called like 6 different stores in the area and it was sold-out everywhere. I even had my mom look for it in Canada, and she couldn't find it anywhere either. I was crushed.

But life has a way of surprising you sometimes... So last week I was casually browsing and I saw this gem. I swear I jumped on it like a starved hyena on a baby gazelle. And so should you, because it's much more beautiful in person. It's cute, flirty, and perfect for Summer.

That's all for now guys, I hope you enjoyed this post and all the monthly recs. Hit me up if you own any of these babies, to let me know if I should run and get them... Or if it's not really worth it.

As usual, you can leave a comment below or hit me up on the Instagrams. I swear I don't always talk like I'm 100 years old and call it "the Instagrams".

In the meantime, I'm wishing all of you a kick-ass week!

Love, Jenny xx
