WHAT I'VE BEEN PINNING LATELY - FEB '19
Hi guys! Welcome to this instalment of What I’ve been Pinning! Every month, I’ll be giving you a sneak peak of 5 things Im currently loving and are really inspiring me - hoping that you’ll be inspired too. If you want to keep up with what I’m pinning on the daily (I’m quite active on Pinterest) you can follow me right here. Enjoy!
1- Scandinavian style bathrooms
One of the things I pin the most on Pinterest is probably home inspiration. IRL, I’m fascinated with home decor, even though I rarely blog about it. I feel like my Home Inspo board is kind of my vision board for the future, or a visualization of what I would want my house to look like, once I actually buy one. This month, I’ve been obsessed with beautiful bathrooms, because the bathroom and the kitchen are the 2 rooms in our apartment that I’m DONE with. So until I can get the bathroom of my dreams, I’ll keep planning it on Pinterest.
2- CACTI & SUCCULENT CAKES
I’ve been obsessed with cake decorating for quite a bit - like, a few years, actually… And my favourite type of plants are succulents (& roses) so it’s no surprise that I’m obsessing over succulent cakes. I feel like they truly embody my vibe, especially since I’ve refined my tastes in terms of home decor to a boho-chic-acid-lounge vibe and have discovered the desert about 2 years ago. If you’re asking me what I want for my birthday, the answer is simple: A succulent cake.
3- WARM EYESHADOW LOOKS
I used to be the queen of the pure black smokey eye, before moving on to a neutral smokey eye, which made me look a little less like Count Dracula’s long lost sister… But lately, I’ve been really into the warm pinks, reds, purples and oranges that we see in so many eyeshadow palettes on the market. I personally got myself the Violet Voss HG palette (the first one below) that I need to play with more, and I’m pinning all kinds of warm-toned smokey eye looks for inspiration, because this is definitely out of my comfort zone - but so flattering for brown eyes.
4- LAYERED DAINTY NECKLACES
It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with dainty jewelry, in fact I’ve talked about specifically in my post about my favourite jewelry brands. It’s also pretty much all I wear in every single one of my outfit posts, so if you guys are regulars, you’re used to it by now. I recently reignited my love for layered dainty necklaces, because I got bored of always wearing the same one… So naturally, I’ve been pinning the hell out of them. Duh! These 2 are quite on the more expensive side (and both from Jacquie Aiche, check them out, it’s 10000% worth it!!), but I’ve recently purchased some of the ones right below, which are all suuuuper affordable and I’m obsessed with all of them. I’m wearing some for a few upcoming shoots and I can’t wait to show you guys the pictures!
5- HAIRSTYLES WITH SCARVES
If you guys are regulars, you KNOW I always have my hair down… No updos, half-updos, ponytails or braids in sight. I don’t know why, I just feel like my hair looks best when it’s down, and it helps me not hating the shape of my face too much. But it can get a little boring, so I started looking for hairstyles that are a little different, without being too crazy, and that I might want to try. I feel like scarves are perfect because they’re the epitome of effortless chic when it comes to hair (and just in general, IMO). So brace yourselves to see some silk scarves in my hair soon enough, because I’m obsessed! Here are a few of my current favourites:
So that’s it for today guys, I hope you enjoyed this post (and these pins) as much as I enjoy creating a visual board of my inspirations and dreams on Pinterest!
